Getting Started with WidgetBuddy on Shopify

1. Create an Account on WidgetBuddy:

• Visit WidgetBuddy and sign up for a new account.

• Provide the necessary details to create your account.

• Once registered, log in to your WidgetBuddy dashboard.

2. Set Your Domain and Copy the Code:

• In your WidgetBuddy dashboard, navigate to "Websites."

• Click on "Add New Website."

• Enter your Shopify store's domain (yourdomain.com) and submit.

• You will find a unique code snippet under "Get your code."

• Copy this code snippet.

3. Paste the Code to Your Shopify Theme:

Now, let's integrate WidgetBuddy with your Shopify store:

• Log in to your Shopify admin panel.

• Navigate to "Online Store" and select "Themes."

• Find and click on "Actions" in the top-right corner.

• Choose "Edit Code."

In the theme editor:

• Locate your theme.liquid file.

• Paste the WidgetBuddy code snippet just before the closing </head> tag.

• Save your changes.

4. Configure and Add Widgets:

• Return to your WidgetBuddy dashboard.

• Under "Widgets," click on "Manage Widgets."

For Video Widget:

• Add a new video by clicking on "Add New Video."

• Fill in the title and description of your video.

• Specify websites where this video should be available.

• Use the "Page Filter" to decide where the video will display on your Shopify site.

• Set the CTA (Call to Action) button settings, including text and link.

For Other Widgets:

• Choose the type of widget you want to add (e.g., Pop-up, Banner, Carousel).

• Fill in the necessary details and customization options.

• Select the websites and specific pages where the widget should be displayed.

• Set up any additional settings like triggers or animations.

5. See the Widgets Instantly:

• After saving your widget settings, go back to your Shopify store.

• Visit different pages to see the WidgetBuddy widgets in action.

• The widgets will display according to the settings you configured.

• Test all interactive elements (e.g., CTA buttons) to ensure they direct users to the specified links.
